How did humans learn to hunt?

Once upon a time, there was a land where cats were the ultimate hunters. They were the top of the food chain, able to kill anything they wished, but were very picky eaters. That meant that oftentimes, they killed a creature and only ate a small portion, leaving the rest behind. Humans were not great hunters, and would travel in packs behind a single hunting cat, scavenging off the leftovers. The greatest of all the hunter cats was Miao. She was quick and clever, able to take down any prey with just a flick of her claw. She was also the pickiest eater of any cat alive. Some hapless creature would happen upon her when she was hungry, and she would pounce, slaying it easily.
